Greetings from the crew of the Billistic. Our spring fishing has been wonderful so far. This is a great time of year to fish in South Florida. There are a great variety of species available on any given day. Smoker King Mackerels up to 40 lbs. have been around in the last week. Sailfishing has been good. Blackfin tuna have been plentiful, but on the smaller side. The larger tunas generally show up here in the next few weeks, and we are looking forward to catching them. Shark and wreck fishing continue to be strong. Hammerhead sharks are mostly being caught with an occasional tiger, mako, and thresher. Large Amberjacks have been biting very well on the artificial reefs. The mahi are starting to show up more consistently. This should get better over the next few months. The weather has been beautiful and we hope to see you aboard the Billistic very soon for a first class fishing adventure.

Hi everyone,
We are into our traditional spring fis
hing.
At this time of year it is possible to catch almost every species of fish that swims by here. Shark fishing has been very strong and should continue to be over the next few months. If you have ever wanted to do battle with a large fish, this is a very opportunistic time. The wreck fishing has also been excellent, with some large amberjacks coming over the covering boards, along with an occasional cobia. Reef fishing for king mackerel and bonitas has been fair, but should get better as we move into spring. There have been a good amount of smaller blackfin tuna up to ten pounds, but the larger tunas should move in during the next two to three months. Wahoo have been scarce and the mahi fish have been spotty, but when the wind has come out of the east we have started to catch a few of this fine eating and fighting fish. April, May, and June should see good numbers of mahi. Sailfish have been hit and miss as the main bulk of fish have migrated south to spawn this month, but they should be heading back north in good numbers in a few weeks. Overall, there is something to catch just about every day. We look forward to hearing from you to join us in this exciting action.
Till next time,
Capt. Richard Budalich
